How do we make Singapore’s maritime history relevant to the general public?

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) runs the Singapore Maritime Trails, which seek to tell the story of Singapore’s maritime industry and how far it has progressed. Tasked to re-design the brochures that accompany the trails, we combined both heritage and modern elements to bring to life Singapore’s maritime legacy while drawing relevance to visitors’ lives.
Design conceptualisation
Using attractive illustrations that appeal to both the young and old, the brochure design concept was kept accessible for the wide range of ages of trial participants. The simple yet intricate cover designs were also adapted as eye-catching banners for the MPA Trails launch event.
Publication Design
The clean and minimal layout ensures readers can easily navigate and read on the go, engaging with the information throughout the trail.
